Paige - 7 days new {Kelowna Newborn Photographer}

What can I say about sweet little Paige. She was such a treasure to photograph. Mom and dad also brought along grandma and grandpa to their newborn session - what a special treat that was.

Becoming a parent is truly the most important and rewarding job you will ever have. You will never forget the first moment you laid eyes on your daughter or the first time you heard your son cry. They are magical moments. As much as we hope our babies will stay little forever, they grow up in the blink of an eye. Those first few weeks become a fleeting memory. Let me help you remember this precious time with a newborn session of your own.

Reese - 9 days new {Kelowna Newborn Photographer}

This is Reese. Ten perfect little fingers, ten perfect little toes, beautiful skin, and divine newborn baby smell.

Reese was born a week late, on August 14th, to parents Alanna and Jason. She came to my Black Mountain Kelowna studio for her newborn session at 9 days old. Mom and dad requested a mostly neutral session with a little bit of pink and turquoise mixed in. It was a great combination and I love how their images are so cohesive and your focus is right on their precious little girl.

During their ordering session, they chose the cutest birth announcement to send to family and friends and a beautiful hand made Canadian album that will be cherished for years to come.

Landon - Long awaited {Kelowna Newborn Photographer}

Oh Landon. You are my why. Stories like yours are the reason I photograph newborn babies.

Landon was born after his mom and dad suffered the lonely path of infertility for almost 10 years. Mom and dad, Audrey and Logan, were high school sweethearts. Their journey to building their family was difficult and included miscarriage and IVF treatment with the Kelowna Fertility Clinic. After a long, hard battle, they were finally blessed with Landon Leo on August 13th.  He is just perfect.

When Audrey and I were communicating about their newborn session, she asked what she and Logan should wear, or if they were even in any portraits with the baby. Of course they are in the images with their newborn! Those are the most important ones.

Myla - 7 days new {Kelowna Newborn Photographer}

Meet Myla. I had the pleasure of photographing her mom and dad during a maternity session at Mill Creek in Kelowna.  They were waiting in anticipation to find out whether they were having a boy or a girl.  Myla arrived a few days after her due date on August 13th in Kelowna. She has unique characteristics (blonde hair and 1/4 Japanese) and she is beautiful.

She loved putting her hands in her mouth if there wasn't a pacifier in there, and she was quite coordinated too! Wraps were definitely my friend! She had perfect skin and a lot of blonde hair which is rare for newborn babies.

Waiting For Baby {Kelowna Maternity Photographer}

I first met Ruth and Dave at the Babies In Bloom Fair in Kelowna. They seemed like a sweet couple. Then, I got a chance to spend some time with them for their maternity session. They really wanted to have their session at Mill Creek Park as they spend time there with their dogs. We had such a great time! The session involved lots of laughs and a few images in the creek. I cannot wait to meet their new little one in a few weeks. This baby will definitely be loved and will be welcomed into a home with absolutely wonderful parents.

After their session, we met again for them to view their images and to decide what beautiful products they wanted in their home. Ruth and Dave decided on a few canvases to adorn their walls and a few prints for their families.
